It is USB. It was an 'all of a sudden' issue. I am not sure how to do a self-print. I am a novice and don't know all the terms.

I have made a self-testreport according to the HPpsc reference guide. Is that what you mean.

    Many thanks,

    Sylvia

Thank you for your help. I have discovered that my printer was set at @ 'send to onenote'. It is printing since I have adjusted it to the printer,

    Many thanks once again,

    Sylvia

I push printer and nothing happens.

Push 'File - Print - OK - and then this appears - 'Windows needs more disk space to print this document'.

I have turned it off - plugged un plugged & re plugged cords.

    go onto Microsoft help.

Just a novice so please guide me through this.

Dell Dimension 4550 and HP printer 2410. Everytime computer is turned on, it detects new hardware and reinstalls the printer, and repeats the process again. After that, the printer seems to work OK.

disconnect the printer, go into device manager and delete all the printers listed there. go onto the printer manufacturer website and download the drivers manually then install them. Hook the printer back up.

CAN NOT CONNECT TO MY PRINTER TO PRINT DOCUMENTS

First check if the printer is already installed into your computer.
Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes, then check if the printer was installed. e.g. Canon Pixma MG5270

If not please do the following:
1. Check if your printer is connected to the computer via USB, and check if you properly plugged in the power supply.
2. Look for the software or installer of your printer. Insert the CD to the CD-Rom and Install it until the setup completes.
3. After the installation of the printer, click Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes, then check if the printer was installed. e.g. Canon Pixma MG5270
4. Then try to print out some document. Just click File>Print and choose your Printer e.g.(Canon Pixma MG5270) then click the O.K. button to print the document.

Network printer

First you ned to have a print server connected to your router for any network printer to work.
Also, you can set up printer sharing on a computer that the printer is plugged into. However this computer must always be on for you to print from any other remote computer.

Uninstall everything. Reboot. Unplug the printer. Install the software. Reboot. When everyting is up. Plug in the printer. Have the driver disc ready, install the printer. Reboot, go to settings, printers and see if the printer is listed. If it is, make it the default printer.Good luck

I have just bought a new laptop, which is Windows Visa. My last laptop had Windows XP, which I attached my Lexmark 730 Series printer. How do I get my printed to work with Windows Vista. I have tried...

ok you can not just simply download drives from the internet. If you have a home computer that is plugged into the printer that has bluetooth then get a bluetooth usb and plug into the laptop, and it should print from the laptop.

in the delete any subkeys listed other than drivers and print processors
Locate and then expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\MonitorsView the list of subkeys.
