Re: the top,bottom screen is blank but green light is on...
CPU is loose on the system board due to the floor accident. There is no way you or any other can repair this. The soldering contacts of the CPU are very fragile and cannot be accessed. Even hot air soldering wil not solve this problem (tried many times in different ways) The only way is replace the system board or send it to Nintendo for repair/replacement.

The system powers on, then performs a system check. The DS is finding some sort of error More than likely the top screen was damaged. I've been told that the screen that flickers is usually the good screen. The bad one doesn't flicker because it's damaged. You can replace the top screen yorself (if you're fairly handy), or you can pay a professional to do it. You can get new screens from Dealextreme.com for around 10US dollars, with free shipping.
