Question about Spidem Trevi 'Exclusive' Espresso Machine

Open Question

Red Light Blinking (Spidem Trevi Exclusive)

We just got this machine and we are not very familiar with that. A lot of times, when we try to have an expresso, the red light keeps blinking and not allow us to have that. What does it means?

Thank you

SOURCE: Gaggia Trevi or Spidem Trevi

You may have a legitimate mechanical malfunciton but sometimes the simple solution is the right one! The chute on this (and other) superautomatic does not like the oily residue that beans inevitably leave. All it takes it gently putting one or two fingers into the bean hopper as the grinder motor starts to sound louder/faster (this is caused by the grinder motor being under less load/strain because no beans are feeding) and wiggling for 1-2 seconds. If you do this immediately after hearing the grinder motor's rpms increase you will not get a "fill bean hopper" error message2.gif. No hard pushing is required, just a gentle wiggle. There is a shroud over the actual bottom of the hopper, so you don't want to stick your fingers beyond that. If you are concerned about actually sticking your fingers into the hopper while the grinder is running, you can simply push down on the top of the beans with gentle pressure which will in effect force the beans down and accomplish the same thing. This technique + regular cleaning of the grinder may be all you need. Hope this helps! Tony

SOURCE: Spidem Trevi-the water is not traveling through the machine to allow the machine to make the espresso.

hi, i have a trevi i bought used with no manual and had problems starting with it, i found an airlock stopping water flowing, i held the water bin over the sink and pressed the valve on the bottom until water flowed out, i do this now when filling the bin and have not had any problems so far. i am still trying to find a copy of manual. i hope this may be your problem as it is easy to remedy. col.

Red light on start bottom keeps blinking

There is one solution I can think of. Probably your thing is running out of battery, or it might be that the quality is bad. But if it's new you could always buy a new one or ask your neighbour, friends, family... Anyone, then they might also give you some ideas you could try.

LAVAZZA EXPRESSO POINT THE RED LIGHT BUTTON KEEPS FLASHING CONSTANLTY, WHEN I MAKE THE COFFEE IT SQUIRTS OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE, IT DOENT HAVE A NICE FLOW LIKE IT USE TO

Causes:1- the 130 deg thermostat is open. 2- working thermostat, 104 deg, defective, allowing temp to rise.3- the machine becomes hot because the water valve is stock open. machine needs to be sealed so not to allow water to boil.Water boils at 100 deg Celsius. 4- valvolino or o-rings are worn out and leaking. You need a repair shop.

It sounds like your flow meter is not working properly. Most likely it goes for about 5 seconds, stops and starts blinking with all the icons on. You can replace the flow meter and get it working again.
