Question about Mitsubishi VS-45609 TV
Please help!! Have been given an older Mitsubishi Diva TV (no remote or manual of course!!) Have purchased a 'one for all' remote. That seems to work ok and it changes channels and turns the tv on and off. Problem is, all i get is a pink-ish screen with the channel numbers in the corner. When I press the menu button on the remote, it won't let me scroll through the menu to try and tune the tv into the channels. The dvd plays on the screen with no problem, so I know I can get picture and sound, just can't work out how to tune the channels?? Any suggestions?
Well .... no online user manuals for thoseTVs
you will need to use a digital seck top box and use that units remote to tune the TV
if there are any (needs a user manaual)
use the buttons on the TV lower casing
to tune up
none of the all in ones remote buttons work for all TVs functions
you are lucky if it turns on and off
and changes channel

i agree with techman it is defective tuner... and remember tuner is too expensive.. At this point most likely you would be better off getting a new TV set. good luck

Nope, the good news is that it is NOT a Tube problem! From your description, it looks more like a Cold solder in the Vertical Output stages (80% probability. Another possibility is dried out Electrolytic Capacitors in the same stages, or in the Power supply Line to the Vertical Output Stage. Nothing you can do, unless you know solid state electronics. Better get a good Technecian to have a look. he will locate the Cold solder quickly enough, and do a resolder.

Unplug the TV for 4 hours or more. This is called a 'Hard Reset'. Then plug it back in, turn it on and let the TV do it's thing. It will set itself up. Just follow the TV setup prompts. Guide Plus is a feature on the TV. Much like a TV guide showing all channels, shows, description of shows, times, etc..
