Uninstall any audio drivers you have and then reboot. If it prompts to you reinstall drivers, say 'not at this time'. Then, switch on SP3's built-in support for the UAA bus by right-clicking C:\WINDOWS\inf\hdaudbus.inf, and then select "Install".

inf is a hidden folder. Use the search function to find the file.

I was using xp3 but after changing it to xp2 i get mssge while trying trying to install audio Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver

Your laptop recommends to install UAA driver package first.
So I suggest you to download the UAA driver package first& install it, You can download it from below website link:

After installing UAA then you install the audio driver, I am sure your problem will be fixed.

In Sp3 the UAA package is inbuilt but in Sp2 it is not inbuilt.

Note: Do not install the audio driver First, You need to first install UAA bus driver and then if you install the audio driver it will work.
You can also download the audio driver from the same site above mentioned if needed.
