I am having problems with my adjatator and I don't see what I should see (the dogs)

That model of washer does not have agitator dogs. the agitator drives directly from the drive shaft and does not ratchet like Whirlpool top load washers do.

The adjatator wont really turn to good how do i fix it

Had same problem with mine. useing a nut driver remove the bolt that is reached from the top of the agitator. The plastic teeth parts are called dog agits (not sure on that spelling) once the bolt is removed place the agitator on the floor and put your feet over the sides of the bottom section then you should be able to pull off the top section and will take a bit of force to do that. You will need your make and model of washer to get the dog agits and they aren't very expensive at all!! then of course put back together but make sure the top section is completely attatched to the bottom all the way so there won't be any extra space that wasn't there before!

GE Washer wds2080d8ww will not adjatate

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, the washing machine may not agitate or function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Why does my washer make soo much noise when washing sheets??and the sheets wind up in a big ball

If the mod # begins with 110 its whirlpool built. Check to see if the top part of adjatator is moving grab the top of it turn back and forth it should turn the lower section in one direction but not the other. If it is not doing that and just spinning freely then your dogs are defective. cheap part and easy to replace do the test and get back for more info......Thanks for voting

Hi, I have a Kenmore 110.26832692, lately it's been making a loud grinding/thumping noise when agitating. The clothes end up wrapped around the agitator, sometimes even stuck underneath it. The basket...

Sounds like maybe the changing of the dogs might be the problem./The top section of your adjatator sould move freely one direction turn it the other way bottom section should move with it. If it does not do that then your dog install got messed up also you should not barely get fingers under botton section of adjatator/ Note the basket is not supposed to move when washing on this unit . see if unit is doing any of those things get back to us...Good luck

I have something stuck under the adjatator. How

Hi, depending how old you GE washer is will determine how difficult the agitator will be to remove. However, all GE made ( hotpoint, baycrest, some kenmore, moffat, mcClary, etc. ) washer's of the past 50 yrs. or so have agitator's that are pressed onto a drive block and need to be pulled off, sometime's by hand, sometimes by a greater force, i.e. "agi-tamer" or "hammer". ( of course the hammer method will require you to by a new agitator ). The "agi-tamer is a real tool which slides under the agitator and by way of being pressurized with "cold" water ( hot will burst it ) will push the agitator up off the spline/block...don't stand over it looking down or you'll potentially get "knocked out" ha ha ! Hope that help's. At least you know it does "pull off" and it isn't bolted in place. Good luck, macmarkus :)

How do I remove the adjatator in the top loader. I have a garment stuck in the bottom and need to get it out.

Remove the cover on the top of the agitator -- you will see a bolt -- remove bolt, put fingers under bottom of agitator and force upward.

Sounds like the transmission is gone the thing you call the spinning mechanism is call the adjatator it should move left to right I can tell you right now to replace the dog ears if it is a kenmore washer they go bad all the time they cost about 5 dollars they are under the cap on top of the adjatator you will need to pull it off to do the job good luck Ron
