Question about Dishwashers

Fagor Dishwasher LFU-65IT - all lights staying on

After completing a quick rinse, I forget to switch off the machine before I left the house for 2 days. When I returned and opened the dishwasher, all lights on the panel were on and there was a considerable amount of water logged in the bottom of the machine. I managed to drain off the water.
I have checked the filter and it's not blocked. I have checked the drain pipe and since poured water into the machine and it's draining off fine. I have plugged the machine out and left it for a half hour and then plugged it in again but all the lights remain on.
I 'think' the lights are staying on whilst the power button is off (the button is out). I'm not sure if you pushed the button in or out to power it on. When I push it in all the lights go off and no buttons function then.
Any ideas?

Thank you.

Is there a reason why you are offering me premium assistance (for which there's a charge) as opposed to the 'Let our Experts solve your problem for FREE' option that I used?

    Thank you.

SOURCE: my dish washer does not drian completly

the water must pump uphill to the air gap. the last water in the line drops down the hose, and is in quantity equally to the volume of the hose from the bottom of the pump to the top of the hose. that flows to the bottom of the sump in the unit. if enough, it appears as residual water in the bottom. its ok.

SOURCE: dishwasher runs, water doesn't drain out

sounds to me that you may have some suds residue in the dishwasher that keeps it from draining completely. Get you some dishwasher cleaner which you can purchase at wal-mart or wherever you buy your detergent, and clean out your dishwasher. It is a inexpensive test. Alot less expensive than having a tech come to your house. Make sure that your drain hose is mounted higher that where it goes into the drain. This is also a common problem that I encounter in the field. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you futher.

Fagor dishwasher not completing cycle showing f6

The heater or thermostat is faulty and not allowing the dishwasher to complete cycle as water is not getting hot enough. Try to run a cold or short cycle and see if is completed.

see explanation of fault codes in this manual.

Fagor dishwasher showing f6

Please check fault codes on page 70 in this manual.
http://www.fagor.co.uk/documents/LFU-65iT.pdf

F6 would mean the water is not getting heated. I am not sure which model you have but if there is only a cold water inlet connection then either heater or thermostat is faulty. If you have both hot and cold water inlet then you may have to check if hot water is getting in at right temperature. Easiest way to confirm is to run dishwasher in cold cycle (short rinse) and see if it goes through. The heater would get used in warm/ hot wash cycles and drying.

Fagor LF 65IT beeps 4 times a few minutes after switching on and all lights flashing on display

This is a flood warning. You must have water in the bottom of your machine which has raised the float and activated the flood switch. Open the lower front panel on your machine and for where the leak is coming from.

No water entering dishwasher

If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely
replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device
with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two
wires attached to it.

Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor."
Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills
the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised
position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

The machine won't go into rinse if the rinse isn't hot enough. Check the thermal trip hasn't operated and that the thermostat bulb us fully inserted into the pocket in the front of the boiler.
