How do i increase messaging memory on Pantech P7040P?

It seems like every other day my phone says "Messages Full Delete Messages. It's sooo annoying! How can I save messages to external memory or otherwise make it so I don't get this message so often?

SOURCE: Pantech Duo Can't download links from multimedia messages

All u have to do is open the text, click on the menu bottom on the right side of the screen.
Then click on object view. This should open a window giving u the choice to save in the left hand corner.

From your text message screen click MENU then FOLDERS. Highlight the folder you want and click MENU then DELETE ALL to remove even ones saved to the SIM or CLEAR MESSAGES to delete just ones stored on the phone.

i have had this problem previously. sometimes it would work if i sent a message to myself. other times, i would have to just wait a few minutes, and then try again. also, i have made a call, and only then would my messages be sent. personally, i think this phone is horrible.

Pantech Link P7040P "Initializing Message" Error

add 'conversations' to your shortcut list, go in through shortcuts menu and delete everything in there, ONE AT A TIME. hitting 'delete all' will freeze your phone. found this out on my own since no one knows what the hell is going on with these phones.

Most phones have both internal memory and the sim card is a memory on its on. You might have the function to keep a copy of sms in sim as well. So you need to enter the sim memory and delete those SMS's

I have nokia N 73..I am recieving messages but unable to open as it says memory full delete some data..whereas my memory is not at full.I hardly have any data.I am unable to open my sms's .please help

Please go into inbox and delete all previous text messages. Then sent items and delete all text messages. Also in outbox, drafts. Your settings for your text messages may only be set to recieve a certain amount of texts.

You can change this by going into messages then message settings

and then other. increase the number of saved messages to 999.

If your phone is only set to save 100, you will get memory full messages once that amount has been reached.

Hope this helps and please rate

I hav d nokia E63..! & i cannot send any msgs.....it says "memory full , close some applications first...(& i hav absolutely no applications on except messaging)...... before it said that...

hi, the memory might truly be full...check your memory status and see if truly it is full....if after checking, you realized that it is full, then you will have to delete some messages and delete some applications that you use less often..but, if you check your memory status and you realize you still have space, then it means you will have to scan for virus.
cheers

Nokia 5230- (1) When i try to send a text/reply "Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first."(2) When I try to make a call, "Memory full. Delete or move some data from C:...

hi, yes and no is the quick answer, basically its telling you either your message out box is full or you have used a lot of hte memory on the phone, try going into messages via the menu then go into sent or ot box then choose delete and if you then highlight the message you want to delete then press settings and choose mark if you then do this to all the ones you want to delete then when you have finished you can choose delete and it will then delete all the ones you have marked.

now for your second question, im afraid their is no way of changing the settings to allow you to change the amount of time the messages are kept, you can change the settings so it dont save any sent messages at all but this can be a problems as you will never know what you have sent, the best thing to do would be to go through your messages say every other day and delete the ones you dont need.

now if you free up some memory on the phone by deleting things like inbox, outbox, sent messages also delete any pictures you dont need and even delete any ringtones you dont need doing this will free up memory and it will then store more messages on the phone than it is storing now

let me know how you get on or if you need furher assistance ok

please can you rate this solution, many thanks

Can't send text messages. Everything is deleted, inbox, sent, drafts, but it still says "Memory Full Delete Items." I've taken the battery, the sim card and the memory card out! Solution?

I was having the same problem but what I didn't know is that I was taping my conversations somehow and when I went to the menu to "My stuff" and went to Audio, I pulled up "My voice" and had recorded conversations and used up all my memory. Once I deleted all of them, I was good again!

My pantech ease says that the memory is full and to delete messages, but I deleted all my messages. How do i fix it?

This phone easily records conversations. Check in your audio then go to voice recordings. I guarantee you have accidently recorded a conversation and it wiped out your memory. I had this problem and finally figured out what was causing this. Just delete it the recorded conversation and you will be fine!
