of course i always think a hard reboot is the first thing to try, but also, please check to make sure your phone has the needed space to receive text messages, mine was too full and would not accept any more which i didn;t know until i deleted some, and then some from days ago came thru... just an idea,,, check it out...
I called AT&T about this same problem..........the CLAIM they know and are working on the problem.......meantime, I cannot get CONFIRMATION with correct date of my texts, yet they go thru
My phone comes up with a message about once a week that says "You have not rebooted your phone in several days. you should reboot to keep things working properly". That is what I would try first.
Good day. call your network provider to send you the configuration settings for your phone, they will send it thru text message, once you receive the settings save it as default. Try to test it by pressing "0" hold until you see the globe icon is rotating, but sometimes the connect is a bit slow depending on your area. Thanks
Well you can't use the app textfree but there are ways of texting for free from your computer. The easiest way is to use google voice. If you have a google account already you can use that, if not it only takes a shot time to sign up. Once you have signed up go to voice.google.com and to
Send a quick text message: Click the Text button at the top left of the page, above the Inbox label. Enter the phone number, type your message, and click Send.
Reply by text message to a voicemail or call: Click the Text link near the bottom of the voicemail or call.
Reply to a text message sent to your Google number: Click Text below the text message you received and type your text message. Then, clickSend. You can also do this from your cell phone, but your mobile operator may charge you for this.
Send a text message through your Contacts list: Click Contacts on the left side of the page. Select the checkbox next to the contact you'd like to send a text message to, and click the Text link next to the appropriate number.
You need to contact your service provider or go online and enable MMS service. Currently, you have SMS service but you need MMS, too for what you want to do.
for sending text messages :
1. call to your network operator customer care 2. request the message center number... 3.note it down 4. go to message settings>message center number 5. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ... Good luck
If you can figure out the solution to this problem please let me know. I have tried everything and this is not the first time it's happened. My phone once sent the same text message to the same recipient over 80 times. And don't count on Virgin Mobile and their joke "trouble tickets". You will NEVER hear from them again about it. And when you call back to get help, you will have to explain the ENTIRE thing over again because apparently their customer service reps don't take adequate notes when you call them. I have had so many problems with texting on this phone it's ridiculous. Most of the time I don't get text messages from people, and then sometimes I'll get them like 4 days later but never all of them. The texts that I send will sometimes take hours or days to reach the recipient... It is a joke and it's a well-known issue that Virgin has with the LG Flare. Seems a bit strange that they would still sell it? From what I've heard the only thing you can do is call them and demand that they send you a replacement phone-- but NOT another LG Flare! Good luck!
This sometimes occurs when a SIM card has gone wrong. Go to Messages, Settings, Text Message, Service Centre
Then, call your ISP, ask for the SMS Service center number. Then, verify that it is the one written in the location I gave you. If not, replace it with the number you were given.
In case it is - there's probably something wrong with the SIM card and it needs to be replaced.
