check the connection of the cable comming from the cable box to your tv either it is not connected proper or the wire that connects it is faulty and needs the be replaced.if that does not work let the repair man check the IF circuit, video amp and the tunner.it they could be causing the static.good luck my friend.
Kindly do not keep attempting to turn it on, as you are likely to spoil some other boards/parts/components of the TV. Look for any loose contacts in power out let, RC jack, cable and socket. In order to ensure, it is not caused by the input device, connect a DVD player and see. Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry. If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation/rectification.
There are a number of different remotes that Directv use, and instructions may differ from your particular model. If you look at the upper left hand corner on the face of the remote there will be a model # RC-64, RC-23, RC-24, RC-32RF, etc. Click on the link HERE and on the webpage, scroll down and you will find the instructions to program your specific model DirecTV remote for your Emerson TV. I hope this helps and good luck!
I just had the same problem. I downloaded a service manual and give this a try
. Turn on your TV and with the remote do the following
Key in the code “123654” via the standard RC transmitter. This get you into a customer service mode and you can check your error codes. After I got out this mode my TV worked. I think the TV was stuck in protection mode for some reason and by entering the service menu's it reset it. I then entered the SAM Mode How to Activate SAM Via a standard RC transmitter: key in the code “062596” directly followed by the “INFO” button. After activating SAM with this method a service warning will appear on the screen, you can continue by pressing the red button on the RC. It will give you more info. The TV worked fine after I exited these menu's. I also did a software update as per the user manual and the TV seems to be working fine again.
You need to go to service mode. Here how you go - use Samsung remote off the TV then press Mute-1-8-2-Power. Tv then boost up the service mode which is you could fine the line - user reset or hotel mode or both. You can press the user reset. If there is hotel mode - check it and put it OFF. Good luck
wall mounts are designed to fit most every unit. some have locking tabs on the bar that stops them from bouncing off during an earthquake. it makes it harder for someone to walk away with your set. try frys electronics depending on where you live, or hometech.com, or radio shack. other home electronics stores have them. even wallmart. good luck mark
