Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I'm wondering is there a replacement fuse that can handle the voltage instead of inserting the same OE (original equipment)? I've replaced my fuse today and within a couple hours it blew again. i'm taking the blame and assuming my soldering skills are not up to par and the reason for it blowing a second time, but a higher rated improved fuse would be reassuring as well. i'm well aware a bad soldering job will not do justice to an improved fuse either, but again if i can eliminate a troubled fuse, troubleshooting a common problem becomes easier.is there a better improved replacement fuse out there?? if so can someone tell me where i can get that?
i also want to thank you for this site. i've saved alot of money, this fuse can blow 10 times and i'd still save money replacing it myself than having a tech make a house call. not that i want to nor hope to, but such a common problem should probably have more attention paid to it by the manufacturer. as much as i love this tv i will not but another rca tv product and thats unfortunate. thanks in advance for all your replys
no i didn't resolder the flyback. apparently i missed step #7 in bold caps of your instructions to resolder the flyback. i just ordered another fuse so when it comes in i will def do that. tahnks for the help and advice. i'll repost and let you know how i made out.
