My 99 galant makes a loud roaring noise when i accelerate. It seems to be coming from the front end. I had at one time thought it was road noise from old tires. It now has new tires on it and the roaring seems to be getting louder the more I drive it. Strangely enough, it doesn't seem as loud at 50 as it does at lower speeds. It is very loud at 40 to 45. A friend seems to think it is the wheel bearings and makes it unsafe to drive? Opinion, thoughts, suggestions?

I have the same problem and so did my daughter before i bought it from her. Have had the bearings changed 3 times, new tires, joints, struts, etc. Mine is right front tire. Last bearing change left garage with wobbly feeling and roaring. A friends son has same issue, same side. Havent found a remedy to date.
