Question about Everex StepNote VA4103M Notebook
I have a Everex StepNote VA4103M notebook and the screen quit working. What can I do to fix it? Everything else appears to be working fine.
So I had the same issue. I think I narrowed it down to the Wireless Lan Adapter inside. If you hold down the FN key and press F2 upon turning the laptop on you should see the wireless light go out. You may need to reboot again but it should at least give you a POST Screen. When I go into the BIOS however after a few seconds it will hard lock. I can however boot into Windows Vista. I am looking for a Bios update. It may also be related to the CMOS battery too...

ALL depends on what part of your screen went...
What Symptoms did you see before the screen went ... if any..... (like Lines, Colors, Blank screen with light, black screen with No light, etc...)
Can You Plug An External Monitor In the Laptop To See If You Get External Video????
Do You Get A Backlight?? If Not, Do You Have A Display going but no light???
Or Is It Just Black Like it has no power to it... if the latter is true, you really need to connect it to an external video source to see if your video card / chip is shot..
