Does this happen with all prints from all sites, or just some.. Some sites now are trying to prevent printing from the site by a variety of means, some of which may lead to errors like the one you are experincing. Are you trying to print via a proxy site?

That error signifies that the machine is set to DHCP but cannot resolve an IP address from your network. Normally you would assign a static IP address on your printer. I would recommend setting a static IP address with subnet and Gateway that correspond to your network. That should resolve this error.

The steps to resolve this issue on a product that you want to set up with a wireless connection and on a product that you want to set up with a wired, or Ethernet, connection differ slightly. Depending on the connection type you want to set up, select one of the following methods, and then follow the steps provided to resolve the issue.Method one: Resolve the error on a product that uses a wireless connectionStep one: Print a network configuration page
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  2. Remove the phone or Internet cable that is connected to the back of the wireless router. Do not reconnect this cable until instructed to do so.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product. If the product does not turn on automatically, press the On button (c00636182.gif ) to turn the product on.
  4. Make sure that the blue Wireless light is on. If the Wireless light is not on, press theWireless button on the front panel of the product to turn wireless on.
  5. When the product is in the ready state, press and hold the Cancel button for several seconds. The network configuration page prints.
  6. On the network configuration page, check the Network Connection Status line. If the status entry reads Ready , continue with 'Step two: Set the product IP information in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).' If the status entry reads anything else, continue with the next step.
  7. Press the Setup button (c01726396.gif ) on the product control panel, select Network , and then select Wireless Setup Wizard . Follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the configuration.
  8. When the Wireless Setup Wizard is complete, press and hold the Cancel button for several seconds. The network configuration page prints.
Step two: Set the product IP information in the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
  1. Make sure that the computer is connected to the same router that the product is connected to.
  2. On the network configuration page that you printed in 'Step one: Print a network configuration page,' look in the General Information section. Make a note of the following information.
    • IP Address
    • Subnet Mask
    • Default Gateway
note.pngNOTE:Each of these addresses is in the IP address format. For example, 192.168.1.100 is an IP address. Make sure that you note the numbers and the dots exactly as they appear on the network configuration page.
  3. Open a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, on your computer.
  4. Type the product IP address in the address bar of the Web browser, and then pressEnter . The Embedded Web Server (EWS) page for the product opens.

  9. In the Subnet Mask text box, type the Subnet Mask address that you located on the network configuration page.
  10. In the Default Gateway text box, type the Default Gateway address that you located on the network configuration page.
  11. Click Apply to save these settings.note.pngNOTE:After the new IP address is set in the EWS, the computer loses the connection with the product, and the EWS page becomes unresponsive. This is expected behavior. Wait 10 seconds, and then continue with the next step.

  1. Press the press and hold the Cancel button for several seconds. The network configuration page prints.

Hello,
Please try one of the following option:
Browse to http://dsldevice.lan or to the IP address of your Thomson Gateway (by default: 192.168.1.254).
If your computer runs Windows Vista or Windows XP, you can also access the Thomson Gateway Web Interface using the Internet Gateway Device icon.

If you computer runs Windows Vista:
1 On the Windows Start menu, click Network.
2 The Network window appears:
3 Right-click your Thomson Gateway (displayed as THOMSON TGXXX) and click View device web page.
4 The Thomson Gateway Web Interface appears.

If you computer runs Windows XP:
1 Go to My Network Places.
2 The My Network Places window appears:
3 Double-click your Thomson Gateway (displayed as THOMSON TGXXX).
4 The Thomson Gateway Web Interface appears.

Be sure you don't have any popup blocker or firewall interfering.

For more reference here below the manual (Version 7 that is basically the same of V8)

Stalled printer cartridges

Sounds like an issue with the print carriage. When it's out of alignment and tries to print, it can make awful noises. HP.com has a web page that describes a number of troubleshooting steps when you have print carriage issues:

Carriage Jam Errors

There's also a related web page having to do with the noise coming from the printer:

Noisy Print Carriage

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Remove and checl color cartridge

The problem most likely is with the electrical contact between the color cartridge and print carriage. Even if you've replaced the cartridge, if the contacts on the carriage are still dirty, it won't make a good connection with the new cartridge and the error message will still appear.

Fortunately, the HP web site has a solution posted at the following link:

Cleaning Cartridge and Print Carriage Contacts

Good luck.
