Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Hello, I just broke a fader by accident (it's the " F8 " one on the very right side) from my AKAI MPK 49 MIDI Keyboard. Do you have any suggestion what I can do or how I can repair it? The fader itself (the metal part) seems to be okay but I'm not sure if there is something else broken because you can't see anything from outside/above the slot. If you have a solution of how I can fix that myself I'd be very glad! Best regards from NYC, Michael

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: i have an akai aa-a25 reciver and right side speakers only work

I had this problem when I first got this receiver back out of years in a box, but it was fixed by pressing the reset button on the back. Hope that works for you!

SOURCE: i have a mac os

Hi,

Try this. First Edit > Preferences > Page: Audio > Audio card drive : that should fix it. If there is still issues check for the audio card drivers.

SOURCE: Akai MPK mini MIDI Controller Keyboard, 25-Key ...

I have the same keyboard, what do you mean from where it clips on. Do you mean the keys itself are broken? I'm not sure how you did that, but you can contact Akai and see if they will send you a new one. Those keys are supposed to be pressure sensitive and unbreakable. Please rate me for assisting you today! :-) PS I love that little thing!

sounds like dust, if you know some one with an air compresser ask them to give it a blow through, if not then it is down to caned compressed air, if that is not enough, you need to open it, and clean the contacts (DVD cleaner is cheap and good)

I am assuming that you broke the connector off the pcb board? you need a soldering iron about 30W and solder and flux, to remove and short circuit after you solder them back on, using a magnifying glass to make sure none of the 5 termnials are shorted

My knobs of my AMAY MPK mini just don't work!

This is likely a software you are using with this is either not compatible with those particular controllers OR is not set up to use those controllers. Someplace those need to be mapped into whatever you are trying to control with the knobs.

I need sound please

Make sure to plug it in before you start up the application. Make sure you restarted your computer after installing device.
Did you check system preferences to see the output settings?
I have mine set to output as headphones and have some external speakers in them. If I unplug them the computers speakers turn right on automatically.
