Check and make sure your printer is defined in the printer setup, and is selected as the default printer.
Alternately you can download the printer drivers at
and re-install the printer. From the computer being off, make sure the printer is on, and USB cable attached, then turn the computer on. The OS should detect the printer on boot, and automatically install the drivers, or you can install them manually from the downloaded drivers referred to above.
