1) Press the Reset – Press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds
2) Make sure the game is inserted far enough into the system, and that it is pointing in the right direction. You may occasionally need to clean the contacts.
3) Also, make sure you are using the supplied power cord/adapter, not batteries. Batteries cause more problems than they’re worth.

Rules for thomas track and trestles board game

The directions posted here are not the directions for Thomas Tracks and Trestles game- they seem to be directions for the Thomas Making Tracks game. Anyhow, I found the Thomas Tracks and Trestles game at a local thrift shop without the directions, but otherwise looks to be pretty complete. The box includes:
  • Game board
  • 6 game tokens(Thomas & Friends)
  • 6 plastic token bases
  • Spinner
  • Rules (not in mine)
My online research hasn't yet turned up the directions, although I did see a comment stating that you can email Briarpatch asking for the directions and that they will supposedly send them to you. I also found a lot of reference to this game being likened to Chutes & Ladders. My 4 y/o and I tried it tonight, using Chutes & Ladders rules (meaning the green paths are "ladders" that you can use to shortcut the track, and the red paths with the Troublesome Trucks are the "snakes" that bump you back). This worked out pretty well, using, of course, the spinner to determine moves. When you get to the roundhouse in the middle of the board, spin and follow the direction of the number you get--so spinning 1, 2, 4, or 6 means you win the game, while spinning 3 or 5 takes you back to the track via the Troublesome Trucks. We had a pretty good time; just remember that like all Chutes & Ladders type games, there is a potential for the game to go ON and ON, so be prepared!

The top one is the 50th anniversary edition, the middle one general instructions, and the bottom is the gameboard setup.

Hopefully between the 3 you will be able to get playing.

But, if not, here is the link to Hasbro's Contact page.

I am sure someone can help you.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Rules of play

Each player has nine pieces, or "men", which move among the board's twenty-four spots. The object of the game is to leave the opposing player with fewer than three pieces or, as in checkers, no legal moves.

The game begins with an empty board. Players take turns placing their pieces on empty spots. If a player is able to form a straight row of three pieces along one of the board's lines (i.e. not diagonally), he has a "mill" and may remove one of his opponent's pieces from the board; removed pieces may not be placed again. Players must remove any other pieces first before removing a piece from a formed mill. Once all eighteen pieces have been used, players take turns moving.

Moving the pieces

To move, a player slides one of his pieces along a board line to an empty adjacent spot. If he cannot do so, he has lost the game.

As in the placement stage, a player who aligns three of his pieces on a board line has a mill and may remove one of his opponent's pieces, avoiding the removal of pieces in mills if at all possible.

Any player reduced to two pieces is unable to remove any more opposing pieces and thus loses the game.

Flying

In one common variation, once a player is reduced to three pieces, his pieces may "fly", "hop" or "jump" to any empty spots, not only adjacent ones. Some sources of the rules say this is the way the game is played, some treat it as a variation, and some don't mention it at all. A '19th Century Games Manual

I have a Roseart 2003 Strawberry Shortcake (Strawberryland) Hide and Seek Game but no directions. Is there a place for me to find or purchase the directions to the game for my kids?

These rules are for the very similar game from Strawberry Shortcake called Berry Princess Hide and Seek Game:
Strawberry Shortcake and her friends need to find all their accessories in time for the ball. You can help them seek out their belongings by using your memory skills. The first player to collect his/her belongings and get to the castle entrance in the middle of the game board wins.
Mix up the princess cards and deal one out to each player. If there are only two players you can each play two cards. The princess you receive is your teammate. Take your princess card and place it face up in front of you. Each princess card has a matching play piece. Take your matching princess play piece and place it on the matching princess start space on the game board. Next, mix up the princess accessory discs, berry jewel side up, and place them randomly into the holes on the game board. The youngest player goes first, and play passes to the left. Spin the spinner and move the same number of jewel spaces shown. If the spinner lands on a line, spin again. Two players can be on the same space at the same time. Once you enter the game path, you may move your princess play piece in any direction on the board. The castle entrance space in the middle of the game board can be used as any other space until the end of the game. When you land on a space with a disc, pick up the disc and do one of the following: 1) If the accessory on the princess disc matches one of the missing accessories on your princess card, place it on the corresponding accessory on the card and your turn ends. Play passes to the player on your left. 2) If the accessory disc does not match an accessory on your princess card, show it to the rest of the players and place it face down back into the same hole. Play passes to the player on the left. Once a princess accessory disc is taken from the baord, that hole becomes a magic tunnel space. If you land on a hole that does not have a disc, you may move to any place on the game board. The Winner: The winner is the first player to find all of the accessories on his/her princess card and land his/her princess play piece on the castle entrance space in the center of the board. To win, you must land on this space by exact count. NOTE: You may not use a magic tunnel space for your final move.

When turned on it goes to a count down screen(loading) and keeps going threw couter cycle and does not boot game

Is the service switch turned on?

Have you checked the DIP switches to see if they are in the right positions? IIRC< there was a setting to keep the game from booting and in diagnostic or freeze mode.

Do you have the manual for this machine? There is one online for download free.

Cranium hullabaloo game instructions. Can't find'm anywhere online. Is there anywhere I can find them?

Gameplay:
There are 16 pads that are laid on the floor in any pattern you choose. They should be a very short distance apart -- especially for little kids.
Players start by stepping on a purple "Cranium" pad. The game unit is turned on. Players listen to the instructions from the game unit.
When the game unit yells "Freeze!" all players stop on the pad they are currently standing on. The game unit will then announce a particular pad's name -- if any players are standing on that pad, they win! The winner is then asked to dance, take a bow, shout "oogety-boogety!" or something equally silly.
More than one player may be on a single pad at any time.
Some typical instructions from the game unit are:
  • Spin to... a food
  • Stomp to... an animal
  • Crawl to... a musical instrument
  • Touch a ...green pad... with your nose AND... touch a triangle with your elbow...
Games can be as short as two instructions and up to several minutes in duration. After about 10 minutes, the game unit will ask the players to press a button if they want to keep playing.

Winning Conditions:
  • Any player on the specified pad at the end of a game, wins.
