I just disconnected from the computer and manualy went through change preferences arrows until I got to set clock. I was then able to set clock. Thanks

1. Press the menu/set button. This will bring up a menu. 2. Press arrow left (the button left of the menu/set button). 3. Press arrow down (the button below the menu/set button). This will select the setup menu (so, a wrench icon should be brighter than an icon of a camera). 4. Press arrow up or down (these buttons are above and below the menu/set button respectively) to highlight clock set. 5. When clock set is highlighted press the right arrow button (button right of the menu/set button). 6. Press right or left to select what settings you want to change. 7. Press up or down to get numbers according as you want them. 8. Repeat 6. and 7. as desired. 9. Press menu/set several times to exit menu options.
Press on the screen and then on the "preferences" icon. Press the right arrow until you an icon labeled "clock" or "time". Press it. You'll get the current time, with up and down arrows that allow you to change the time.
Following are the instructions for the RP5610 which looks very similar to the 4801A (that I also have). The only difference in the instructions is that the 4801A doesn't have a clock icon, just press the SET button until the center colon dots are flashing, Press the rewind or fast forward arrows on the circle next to it to set the time. Set the alarms by pressing the set button until bell 1 or 2 is displayed. Nap is also set with the set button - not sure how to stop it yet.
To set the clock:
Press the SET button until the clock icon is displayed (circle with hands at 10 and 2)
Here's the solution to your problem: > Tap the "Change preferences" icon > Tap the Arrow Icon until you reach the screen with the "Set Clock" Icon > Tap how you would like the time displayed > Tap done > Set the correct time to display > Tap Done
Turn the system on and press the "Clock/Timer" button (located above the eject button for Deck 1). The clock will appear. To change the time, simply hold down either the < or > buttons (the ones you use to change radio stations and begin CD/tape playback). Press "Clock/Timer" again to lock in the time.
