Broken screen...need help getting access to pictures
Hello, I dropped my phone and the screen cracked-- I can still perform all the functions, but I just can't see anything. I was hoping someone could give me directions to deleting all photos? My dad works for LG and will probably want to fix it and I have pictures I dont want him to see lol.

Hi. You can get a data cable for the phone and download the pictures to your computer. Or you can fix the phone yourself. It's pretty easy. See http://www.formymobile.co.uk/Dismantle/ke970disassembly.htm

Sounds like the LCD digitizer which either broke inside OR became disconnected. If the impact was not enough to sustain a screen crack, and you have warranty with either LG or through your carrier, you can get LG to fix it free if there is no physical damage, cracked screen, or water damage, with your carrier, it would be the easy, just tell them the screen isn't broken, the phone is intact but the screen is blank. That is a hardware failure... they are supposed to be able to withstand some drops so it really depends on how much physical damage there is.
A digitizer LCD is not expensive and there are ways to change them fairly simple since the screen isn't cracked, you go through most LG phones via the back, remove the camera, remove a black cover that holds the sim and or memory card, BE CAREFUL and please look at youtube to see a complete disassembly of your particular LG phone.
I'm not sure what your question is, but it sounds like your phone is broken pretty badly. Getting replacement parts for cell phones can be very hard, and installing them even harder. In most cases I would just recommend you get a new phone.
You don't have to drop your phone to crack / break the screen. This problem is almost certainly caused by a crack screen. This can be easily repaired by taking your phone to the local repair shop and getting the LCD replaced.
Depending on where you live and who you know you can get this done for $50 - $100 in North America.
If the screen of your phone is not crack, the problem with your phone is just flex problem, the flex
on the screen of your phone is weak or worn out, this is a common
problem among slide or flip phone.
What you need to do is to
replace the flex on the screen of your phone, you can get this done by
going to any local phone repairer within your vicinity to help get it
fix or replace.
Once the flex is replace, your phone display
problem is solve and the screen will start displaying. But if the screen is crack, you will need to get a brand new screen to solve the problem.
there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.
The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.
I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.
If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.
