Question about Hitachi DV-PF33U DVD Player/VCR
When trying to play a VHS tape the tape will play for a few seconds then stops. The display then shows " Err 1 ". Thank you
It sounds like the sensor to tell the microcontroller that the tape is moving is not working. If that is so, the VCR would probably do the same thing in FF or Rewind. If you end up taking this unit into a repair shop, have them check the DVD's software version (it should be 1.250) If below that number, have them upgrade that as well. You can check the version yourself by pressing 1,2,3,4 and then "display" on the remote while the unit is on and no disc in DVD. After noting the version, just hit "power" on the remote to exit this mode.
