Yes, but the unit will need to be pulled out. then, you can unscrew the back panel and attach the wire to the element. Joe

My oven lost power right in the middle of bakingcookies. We checked the breaker no problem unplugged and replugged still no power. Can you tell me what is wrong

If it is totally dead--no power, you need to start checking the main power supply lines. Make sure you shut off the main breake to the oven. Then start at the connection where the house lines hook to the oven. If this is a built in oven it will be in a junction box directly behind the oven. If it is a free standing range/oven it should have a big 240 volt power cord on it connected to the range with 3 screws. Many times if connections are not tight when first installed, those loose connections will burn to the point they no longer make a good connection.

120v on bake element red wire and element wont heat up

the reason its not heating is because you will always have 120 volts on this red wire due to its being connected directly to one side of the in coming power source, its either that you lost the other 120 volts of power coming into the unit,a tripped breaker/fuse/etc. or the control board relay that supplies the other 120 volts to the element for a combined 240 volts needed to heat the element,if you have 240 volts to the connection to the unit then you either a bad control board or the Neutral incoming power wire could be burned off which you need to get 120 volts to operate the control board which operate the relay to supply the element with the required 240 volts to operate

How do you replace bottom element in top oven?

Turn off the power to the oven at the breaker box.
Take out the screws holding the element bracket in place. These will be on the back wall of the oven, or sometimes on the top.
Pull the element toward you a little bit until you see the wires behind it.
Unscrew the leads and take the bad element out.
Hold the new element up while you attach the wires to it. Don't stretch the wires any more than you have to.
Line up the element while tucking the wires back in. Be sure not to pinch the wires between the bracket and the back wall.
Fasten the brackets, making sure they're tight.
Restore power to the appliance.

My whirlpool gold accubake system-oven is not heating right. about a few weeks back I saw the bake element spark and thought it was no problem, but I guess I was wrong. Did I fry the bake element or is...

yes if you turn the oven on bake that element should heat pretty quick, if not its toast..
if i had a model # i could be more specific but generally all you'd need to do is turn off the breaker or unplug the unit.
remove the screws that hold it to the rear of the cabinet, and slide the element straight back towards the front enough to expose the screw or slide on connectors.
now you can either remove 1 wire at a time and have the new element sitting under the old one and transfer then as you go, or remove 1 wire and bend if over some so it won't slide back into the unit and get lost..
after the wires are reconnected slide the element back into place and replace the screws and restore power and cook..
hope this helps,
best of luck,

Oven has stopped working

The main oven element has failed, you need to fit a new element.
If you remove the rear cover in the oven , you will see the element.
Disconnect and replace. Be care ful not to lose the wires behind the aperture.
Plz rate my solution.

We need to install the lower heating element in the upper oven

ill aasumme that yo can see the elemnet in question, and its not a "hidden bake" elemnet located under the oven floor.. should be an easyrepair, with a little bit of patience. don trush shoudl only take 10 min anyway. TURN OFF POWER> LIVE WIRES TO ELEMENT AT ALL TIMES. REGARDLESS OF UNIT ON OR NOT!!! ther ewill be 2 screws along the bottom of the element holding the elemnt in the unit. after emoving carfully slide the old elemnt out a few inches, slowly pull out, for the wires are still attached to the back of elemnt and you want them to stay there you dont want them to disconnect and fall behind unit, (you will then need to remove the unit form the wall to access htem). so pull slowly espescially if you feel resistance in the wiring. after you getit out far enough simply unplug and plug in the new one reinstalll and you shoud be fine

My Dacor ECD230 stopped heating???

The high limit switch has tripped on this unit. Remove the vent panel behind the door and there will be a button in there behind the wires. Press this button with the circuit breaker turned off and that will rectify the problem. You still might need a servicer out to take a look at the unit though
