How do you drain radiator water in order to put in sealant for leak

If it is just a small bottle of sealant, just 'suck' the coolant out of the radiator-put in the sealant and top off with what you took.
Good luck

I am putting water in my coolant bottle twice a day to avoid overheating. It won't hold water?

Is the coolant bottle actually leaking or do you have a more severe problem? I would start by looking on the ground underneath your vehicle underneath the engine. If its coming from the front look at your radiator first, then your hoses upper and lower then your water pump and finally your heater hoses. If you cant see a leak start the car and let it warm up so your system has pressure to it. Then take a look and please dont stick your hand anywhere around the engine while it is running. Last place to look is feel the rug on the passenger side of the car to see if the rug is wet that would lead to a faulty heater core. If your handy with tools call around to your local auto parts store or tool rental places to see if they have a pressure tester. You can then pressurise your system with this tool and it should help you to find the leak.

I hope this helps you out, and if so please leave me a rating.

Navigator leaking coolant

Check you to see that you don't have loose or leaking cooling hoses, a bad radiator cap, a loose radiator drain plug, or a failing water pump.

If all these are OK, put a bottle of BAR's radiator stop in the radiator and run the engine in idle for 15 to 30 minutes. Available at your local auto parts store.

If your leak is not to serious, this should fix the problem. Put a bottle of radiator stop leak in your cooling system and repeat the procedure once every six months, to lubricate the water pump and keep leaks sealed.

I have a 1996 Honda civic, it spits out water at the radiator after running for 10 minutes. What can I do?

If the radiator is leaking, put a bottle of radiator stop leak in it,fill it up the rest of the way with water, tighten cap, and run in idle for 15 to 30 minutes. If the leak is severe or one bottle doesn't work, use two bottles of stop leak and run for 35 minutes.

If it's the radiator cap that's leaking, replace the cap with a new one. Also check to make sure there are no loose cooling hoses.

Safety first: Use extreme caution to never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot, severe burns from escaping hot water could result.
