Restarting itself No error message  the printer finishes spooling then reboots itself.

File sent to printer, the printer recognizes its there and then reboots.

  • Anonymous Mar 02, 2009

The Xerox Phaser 8560 printer boots up, then reboots itself.

It goes through the warming up phase, cleaning phase, and prints the startup page. Then it reboots itself.

I have tried a different power cord, different fiber to ethernet transciever, different ethernet cord, different printer. But the printer in that one location still reboots.

Any help would be great! Thanks.

Hi,

You will probably need to reset the NVRAM on the machine but do this as a last resort, follow the steps in the link below first. Best of luck

My printer wont print

1. check if the printer is connected to the PC.
2. see if the status on the print manager of the printer is not set to "offline" --- just do a right click on the printer icon under printers.
3. see if you have the updated print drivers from the canon website or windows update.
4. check if there are any print jobs spooling that are on error mode. either clear them up (delete) or try restarting them.
5. reboot your PC and try again. :)

What does it mean when i get the error message print spooler services not running

you need to turn it on, Go, . START>>RUN>>services.msc enter. When the services screen comes up, scroll down until you find the "Print Spooler" Enable it, Start it, and set to Automatic, reboot, ya good to go.

Have a Canon PIXMA iP5000 inkjet printer which has disappeared

Hi,
If you go into Computer Management, (or Computer Manager in XP, I think..) and click on Services on the list on the left, then find the Printer Spooling Service, right-click on it and press Restart.

If you cannot find the Services manager, just click Start > Run > type services.msc and that'll bring it up and you can Restart the spooler.

NB: Sometimes there is a problem with a conflict between the Spooler service and the Fax service, and it is necessary to Stop the Fax Service, before you can Restart the Printer Spooling service, but only do this if you have problems restarting it.

Hope this helps

How do I clear an incomplete print operation?

Try clearing your spooler queue:

Delete the spool printer files loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); In safe mode, delete the spool printer files. To do this, start Microsoft Windows Explorer, and then delete all the files in the following folder (where C: is the drive where Windows XP is installed):
  • C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers
