I just had the same type of problem and fixed it. The door switch under the lid is not working properly. Mine wasn't working because some lint, etc. got caught around the switch wiring and as the agitator used to spin, it spun a knot around these wires. Over time, this knot started to pull on the wires and one of the wires got disconnected. So, for the time being, I "jumpered" the switch out and can operate that way. BUT, THE SPIN CYCLE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK UNTIL YOU SHUT IT OFF. IT WILL NOT SHUT OFF BY ITSELF (AUTOMATICALLY). ALSO, BE VERY CAREFUL. THE DOOR SWITCH NOW DOESN'T WORK UNTIL YOU WIRE IT BACK IN. THEREFORE, THE SPIN CYCLE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL YOU SHUT IT OFF YOURSELF (NO DOOR SWITCH IN OTHERWORDS).

Good Luck!

2 weeks is too long for a service problem
engine probably seized from lack of coolant
that would be your problem for not checking oil and water on a regular basis

My Maytag Front Loader Washer was reading sud on the digital screen and also reading F02. After a few days past by, it stopped reading that because i looked online and thought i solved the problem. Just...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Kenmore model # 110.23832100 Washer would drain but wouldn't spin or aggitate. Replaced coupler. Now will spin and agitate, but will not drain.

sounds like it's in the re-assembly since the water pump is directly connected to what you just did. take it apart once again and make sure all is put back right and water pump is properly seated on motor shaft.

Check the hoses on the back and see if there are leaks, there are three hoses, one for hot water, one for cold water and one is a drain. The drain is the big hose. Also check the water drain hose and make sure it is firmly secured to the drain in the wall behind the washer.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

OE is a drain error and is displayed when the washer is unable to drain water. Please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs to clean the error. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I moved and need to hook up my washer at a new location. I am unsure of what to do with the large hose in back. It is attached to the washer at one end but water is shooting out of the detached end. Where...

Most washer hook up have a drain built into them. Normally the drain is about an inch and a half hole between the two faucets. The hooked end of the big hose just slips down into that hole. If there was a washer there there must also be a drain there at one time. The big hose is where all the water comes out of the washer,

Code E20 appeared machine unable to drain, emptied water by hose at bottom of machine now unable to excess filter to check for any objects struck in filter any clues

Am giving you details of another machine, Frigidaire Affi, but you will surely find it useful. E20 is the same.

Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. (You may find the drain hose here, on left) The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

Based on your description, I'd look closely at the drain hose (the big hose going out of the washer and into the wall between the water valves). If it's stuck too far into the hole there without an air gap, it'll siphon water back into your washer. To correct this, simply lift the drain hose out of the wall drain a few inches. This will allow the water to drain and NOT allow a vacuum to form. (a vacuum will "pull" water out of the drain pipe and back into the washer thereby filling it while not in use)
