Yes, the pump can still be faulty, even if it runs, the impellor could be loose. or it could be stallinbg under load. suggest you fit new pump.
Do make sure the water is actually entering the pump.

Speed Queen, cleared clog in pump, still won't drain

The clog may have moved from the pump to the drain line. If the pump overflows, it would make sense to check the drain line to determine whether it is restricted. The drain line is usually clamped onto the pump outlet and can be disconnected by removing the clamp. You can insert a piece of wire or a drain auger and confirm the state of the line. Doing this may prevent an unneeded pump replacement

I can hear the hot watre dripping into the washing machine when it is turned off

see this cause:
It spins, but doesn't pump
drain line clogged, +remove some sock with pliers maybe you can remove the agitator+pumps propeller defective.
It doesn't spin or pump
frozen pulley pump, replace the pump
It pumps, but the water returns
improve the drain line+if the drain line reach more 4 inches, cut of the excess. if is lower, install air/gap siphon break assembly.

God bless you

Hoover elite 700 washing machine won't spin

There are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The cause could be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need a licensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to the more difficult causes.

INSTRUCTION BELOW
# A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
# 2 If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
# 3 Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car, lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
# 4 Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
# 5 If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall

Regards.

Lg wm2455h is not draining: i have taken out and cleaned pump filter and that did not correct the problem. I place the machine on the drain and spin cycle and i can hear the pump hum, but doesnt drain. ...

most likely you have a bad pump and it needs to be changed out or something is still stuck in the impellar, stick your finger into the pump and feel around the impellar,i've found under bra metal pieces stuck in there, elastics and string rapped around it and coins lodged in between the impellar and wall of the pump,if the pump is bad or something is stopping the impellar from spinning it will hum, power is going to the pump but the motor isn't spinning.

Won't spin out water but pump works

Dishwasher not draining water. Not 100% sure on exact model, can't find any number or ID marks. Definitely Frigidaire though.

the model number is or should be located on the right side of the.cabinet where the door opens.any how the problem could be a clog in the drain hose. you can remove the hose from the side of the garbage disposal.use a shop vac and try and drain the water that way if it does not drain then you could have a grease clog if there is grease clogging it use a blow dryer to heat the hose up and this should remove
the clog.if the water does come aut the you may have a bad drain pump and or a control board.

No drain or spin cycle

Check the following to address the issue--

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

My washer spins but will not drain. the pump seems to be working but wont drain

The drain line is probably clogged... sometimes debris or small objects can get in between the tubs and plug the lines...if not, the pump may be bad. I just replaced my pump on my GE washing machine.

Washing machine will not drain water.

you did remove the cabinet to replace the lid switch correct?, try removing it again and unclip the pump assy dont remove the hoses, just unclip form motor assy and hold out of the way, try putting unit into a spin cycle now.. is it spinning ?? or at least he motor spinning??? this is a direct drive unit so as long as he motor spins the pump also spins, with exception of a bad pump , something clogged inside the pump, or an obstruction in the drain line itself.. if the motor not turning at this point id have to believe that switch isn't making contact( but is new and it sure should be)timers not sending down power (doubtfull).alll seems pretty doubtful less the bad switch( remember that with the cabinet removed youll need to TEMPORALLY jump out the lid switch,
