No internet sites reachable, nothing appears to be wrong

New motherboard, ASUS P5GC-MX/1333. Built in Atheros L2 Fast Ethernet 10/100 NIC. 3GB RAM. Windows XP Pro/SP2.
Drivers for NIC load properly. No obvious hardware or software issues found. Receives NAT IP address from wired router. Other systems on same router accessing internet with no problems. This system cannot even ping my ISP's DNS servers by IP address. No replies.

Did both suggestions, but to no avail. Added a non-MB based NIC (Kingston) and it works fine, so there is either something wrong with the MB based NIC hardware or the driver.

Have you set it up for network through windows network setup
also check network name the same (I had one that i thought was correct and one letter in network name was different and would not connect)

Hi, I need standard spec info of VGA built on Asus P5GC-MX 1333 whether 64 Mb or 128 Mb. Many thanks & regards, Richard

you can use up to a maximum of 224 mb of your computer's RAM for the onboard video chip to use. You can install a video card with any amount of memory (which would give you a lot better video performance).

Check out the AsusTek Support Site.

From the "Download" Tab, select your OS to download LAN (Atheros L2 Driver) drivers. Just unzipped the downloaded files to alocation on your PC & run the installers.

Hope it helps.
