Question about Linksys PAP2T

Linksys PAP2T adapter not working properly

Setup is Linksys CM100 cable modem to Linksys WRT 54G router to Linksys PAP2T phone adapter to Uniden DTC756 cordless phone. VOIP provider is VIATalk. Power and Internet lights are on, but no phone lights or dial tone. VIATalk advises getting IP address from PAP2T and putting it in the router DMZ, but I can't get the IP address from the PAP because it doesn't provide service to the phone. I tried to get the IP address through the router, but it isn't listed (no green light on the router port where the PAP is connected either). This whole setup has worked almost flawlessly for over a year and suddenly stopped about thirty days after I renewed my service for a year. Any ideas?

    At about the same time yours failed mine also stopped working. I do get a dial tone but when I try making a call I always get a busy signal and I do not receive calls, they go straight to voice mail. So far no luck repairing the problem.

there was a problem with you lynksys router.. first try to unplug your router for atleast 5 mins.then plug it again. if the problem still in there. you need to purchase a new lynksys router.router cannot be repair technically..

there must be have a short circuit with the unit.try to open it or ask assistance to a service technician for finding the defective parts in your adapter.

the unit just only hang.. what you have to do is to unplug the unit within 5 mins.then after 5mins.try to plug it again..and your lynksys would be good again and ready fo your calls.. :)

Bought a new PAP2T phone adaptor. When I plug it the power light goes red and blinking. I can not access the admin


try to unplug it for atleast five minutes then plug it again.

I am useing linksys pap2t this is now not working power lid is now orag calor


reset the pap. look for a reset button, most of them are red in color or just a plain hole. press and hold it down for 20sec. unplug the power for a minute then plug it back in. if it's still orange then that means the problem is the actual hardware.

For User Login: Username is "user" and password is blank.
For Admin Login: Username is "admin" and password is blank.
