Question about Advueu Technology ADV178T 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

One monitor clear the other not good fonts

One monitor is displaying very easy to read display while the other monitor is working fine but can't seem to get the font display to be as clear as the other monitor. One monitor is a Dell 17" flat screen (pretty basic monitor) the other monitor is an AMW 17" flat screen. THe AMW is about 3 years old the Dell is the same age. The Dell is clearer and easier to read than the AMW however the dual monitor setup is set with the same resolution (1280x768) on both units but the AMW is displaying a font that looks abit like the clear type is not selected but it is selected on both u nits. What can I do to make both monitors have similar displays (probably won't be exactly the same clerity but need them closer than I have been able to get adjusted to) Please help me with some ideas or something. THanks in advance Harley Brotherton

I installed a better video card that supported dual monitors without splitting the signal.

I have a lg flat screen monitor, the words are blurred

Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only, then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.

If everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems -- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2 monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.

Assuming Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all the way to the right), and save.

If you do have the display resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry, then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

Acer wide screen monitor 20'' font and images all

Right click on the desktop in a clear area and scroll down to either resolution or properties. From this you can experiment with resolution settings to see which setting best fits your display. After each setting change the computer will ask you if you want to accept the changes, it will give you 15 seconds for each change.

Cant hardly read the screen the printing is so small and a little fuzzy

Change the display font size. In Win 7, right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution then choose make Text and other items larger or smaller. This brings up Windows Appearance and Personalization > Display (small, medium, large buttons). With Win7, you can also turn on Clear Type for LCD displays.

The earlier versions of Windows have the same display font option but it may be a subset of the Accessibility Control Panel. Macs probably have a similar control in the OS.

I hope this helps.

How can I make fonts look good in an LCD monitor ?

The VGA connection should be fine; I have DVI and when I switched from analog, the difference was pretty minimal, to my eyes.

Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only, then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.

If that doesn't work, I'm probably out of ideas, unless you have further information.

.ct 2070 display not clear

Are all the fonts unclear?

Even when you open a document such as word and notepad?

If the answer is yes, it might be that you've got a problem with your windows setting. maybe you should try adjusting as follows:

>click on properties on your desktop
>click on the appearance tab
>click on effects button
>check the box "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"
>click on ClearType
