Question about Sony Ericsson w580i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

W580i Return key stopped working and won't let me scroll up

Help! My phone was working fine and then one day my return key stopped working (the key that's above the walkman button). Also, it won't allow me to scroll up (left, right, down still works). Anyone have a clue why?

I cannot close the slider of my celphone sony ericson w580i?

if its slid open n wont go back something isnt on the track properly. try to push it down but do not force it as that is classed as physical damage. u may be able to return it under warranty but be careful u dont damage it first. otherwise take it to a cheap asian repair shop- (nopt racist, they usually r the cheapest) and get it fixed mate.

What does this key do?

LF means line feed. This was a common key on typewriters. Now we just use the "Enter" or "Return" key.
Return meant the return of the carriage (the part on the typewriter that holds the paper and moves side to side as you type).

Basically, this just starts a new line for your text.

You can see this by typing a text message then add the LF and keep typing.
You can see the above text by scrolling with your finger.
