Are you formatting it in a cell phone, a digital camera, or on your computer?

If you're formatting on a computer, be sure you have the microcard inserted into the adapter correctly. I would suggest you format the card in the device that you're using it in most.

Are you saying that it formats fine with your memory card reader but the phone doesn't recognize it and you get an error. Your Samsung will take up to a 4GB card and this is only 2GB so it should work fine in your phone. Is this the card that came with the phone or is this one you purchased recently?

Are you using a memory card reader to do it or in camera?

it it is in the camera, try a card reader and vice versa, otherwise it may be a dodgy card perhaps.

Hope this helps.

I would suggest then, if you have access to a memory card reader that'll take the memory card then use that to format the card - works every time for me.

    hope that helps

I have a sandisk 2gb micro sd card. I put it into my computer's card reader and it keeps saying it needs to be formatted. When I try to format it it says windows was unable to complete the format. I am...

> unable to complete the format.

The FORMAT process is trying to write data to the card, but that writing is NOT successful,
i.e., the memory on the card is damaged/defective, and so it "fails".

Responsibly recycle the card, and purchase a replacement memory-card.

My friend gave me his old SanDisk MicroSD Memory Card after he erased all of the memory off of it because he said he didn't need it anymore. I put it into my Titanium Voyager, and the card doesn't appear....

can it be read in your PC or cardreader?

try reformatting it, the other thought is that your unit cannot read a 2Gb SD card and isd limited to 1GB max. If neither is correct ditch it a 2Gb card is only $8-10 and not worth the stress.

Re-format it. Put the SanDisk 2GB microSD memory card into your LG enV2 and format it from there. If that does not work plug it into your laptop then right click the icon and format it to FAT and click on default settings.
