I have a frigidaire rotary dial dishwasher. Model #FDB510LCS0. It will not turn off. When I left home this morning, i turned it on. 4 hours later, when I returned, it was STILL running. The dishes were clean, but it was still running. HELP please. Thank you.

Hey Gary, thank you for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dishwasher fills with water and then the motor will not run to complete the cycle. This could be an issue within the control panel or motor of the dishwasher. Which lights are flashing on the control panel of the dishwasher? Can you provide me with your model number as well? Once I have that additional information I would be able to assist you. -Matt
OK, that several hour wash cycle seems to be very abnormal and, the only way this can happen is if the timer control mechanism is damaged. this is referred to as a Overrun error.
simply replacing the timer will fix this issue.
Approximatly how old is your dishwasher?
First step, clean the filter that is underneath the lower sprayer arm. You will probably need to remove several screws to clen it.
While the filter is off, inspect for debris in the pump area (watch out for broken glass that are almost invisible in the water left behind.)
Inspect the impeller for damage and repair/replace.
Reassemble the filter and spray arm - retest.
If the problems remain, the problem is often a failing (weak) pump motor and that is your next step unless you are going to replace with an Enery Star model.
I had the same problem. Turn the HIGH TEMP buttons off. Simply turning them off corrected this problem for me. Mine got stuck in two places and I had to manually turn the dials or the washer would run all night.
