What are the exact problem symptoms? What works and what doesn't? Will it take any pictures at all? Check the battery compartment to be sure all batteries are seated and working. Try taking a photo with flash. What happens? Sometimes, low-cost cameras are not worth fixing - cheaper to buy a newer and later model. How about returning to factory under warrantee? Need more info.

lgms323 is a cell phone and you posted your question in Digital Camera section.-
Anyway, even if might have no visible damage but if it won't turn on it is damaged. So you should take it to some cell phone repair shop. No way!

The reason is that the camera dropped to the floor and has incurred internal damage that will require repairs that will probably cost more than a good replacement camera.

Hi Pavel

Sorry but your camera needs to have the lens replaced. The drop onto the floor damaged it and the only way to fix it is to replace it. Wish I had better news for you.

Hi.

The drop has cause internal damage to the moving parts of the camera. The shock of the camera hitting the floor will have caused this.

The cost of the repair will differ depending on the damage caused by the drop.

You can get a quote directly from Sony by clicking on the link below or you can take the camera to a certified repair store.

My camera got dropped on the floor and is no longer coming on

dropped cameras develop all sorts of problems , too many to guess without opening it to see what damage was done. if you have insurance you might try to malke a claim as long as the excess is not high.

The replacement cost is $160 the repair may even equal that

Kodak Easy Share Camera My baby accidentally dropped it on the floor.Zoom won't

Hey pooda2,
It does sound like there is damage to your lens. Manufacturers’ warranty does not cover damage but a Best Buy™ performance service plan with accidental damage and handling would cover the repair. To find out if you have a performance service plan with adh on the camera you should call 1-888bestbuy. If you do have the plan you could bring your camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out for service. If you don't have a performance service plan with adh on it you could still have it sent out to get an estimate on how much it would cost to repair it, but often with digital cameras the cost of the repair exceeds the value of the camera.

Sincerely,
Allan

I dropped my camera and now the pictures are funny...

What you describe is the symptom of a stuck shutter. The shutter is inside the lens and must close in order for the image sensor to properly record the image. Yours is stuck open, and that is why you see the lines across your images. When a stuck shutter results from an impact it usually requires full disassembly and manual re-setting of the delicate shutter blades. This problem would require professional repair. Unfortunately damage from an impact is not covered by your factory warranty. You can find good repair services on the internet who can service your camera. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

My pentax optio s has fell on the floor.

It is not likely that camera drop damage will be covered under warranty. But it never hurts to ask. Regardless, you will need to contact Pentax about repairs. Repair location information should be in the documentation that came with the camera. Their website shows service centers: http://www.pentaxusa.com/service/serv_servcenter.cfm Camera drops are not uncommon. Sorry to hear yours was damaged.
