Question about Zenith B27A74R 27" TV
The Universal Remote that came with this set stopped working. Replaced batteries to no avail. Bot new Universal Remote, couldn't get it to work with any of the 'codes' listed for Zenith. Tried both remotes on a little 12" TV I have laying around, and I WAS able to get both of the remotes to work. Conclusion, I believe the Remote Sensor on the TV isn't working. The front panel control buttons all work fine. I can use them to turn on/off, change channels, volume, etc... So, my question. What's my next step? Do I replace the sensor, a PCB board, or is there some more diagnostics that I can do? I have not pulled the back cover off and looked inside the console yet. Thought I would get some ideas from you guys before doing so. Perhaps this is a common problem or an easy fix. p.s. I have a B.S. in Electronics Engineering, so I do know my way around a little bit, but I am not a TV technician and I know there is no educational substitute for hands-on experience. All of you TV field techs have my deepest respect. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Replace sensor they have know to go from time to time. suggest orginal sensor
