I have a Toshiba satellite A60 series, i reformat the pc the other day,and trying to restart the pc again but it failed to start as it said ' window couln't start because the following file is missing or corrupt: system32driversisaono.sys' then it suggest that i can attempt to repair the file by starting Windows Setup using original setup CD-ROM, n press 'r' in the 1st screen to start repairing.

i follow the instruction as nothing change, the same problem appear on my screen.
i heard about using the Recovery Console, but i m not sure how to get to the 'Welcome to setup' page in order to get into the Recovery Console page. Please help me on this!!!!

The system32 folder is corrupt, you have no choice but re-install the operating system

This is probably caused by faulty ram. The fact that Windows did not install correctly is a sure sign .

Your laptop probably has 2 memory Dimms, take one out ant restart the unit. if it starts ok, try reinstalling the Windows OS. If it go on ok the the Dimm you have out is the problem. If it fails, try exchanging the Dimms and try again.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Im on my pc and im wondering where i can find a free download that can help me i get this message on my toshiba satellite a85s107... File missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system\

Assuming you already tried pressing F8 on boot up and trying to get it into safe mode to run a disc check and that did not work?

This is a configuration file that can only be repaired by the use of OS installation CD, which if the laptop is booted with the disc in the drive and the bios is sett o boot from the DVD drive first, will give you the option to carry out a repair of the installation

I shut down my Toshiba Satelite L500 and went to reboot. The Toshiba logo flashes quickly and then goes blank. It is not booting or restarting.

Hi

I believe your computer is corrupted and need to be repair or reformat.

But first solution to run your computer on safe mode if repair the problem. When restarting your computer, just press F8 when booting and it should display some repair menu. Choose safe mode to run your computer on safe mode. Maybe it help you.

If not you need to reformat your computer or repair the operating system.

Good Luck

I just brought a new laptop ( toshiba, satellite) turned it on for the first time set few settings quickly then closed the lid for a few moments when i opened it up again it was off so i turned it back on...

Upon turning it on keep pressing the F8 key to obtain the repair screen
Choose start windows in the safe mode with the COMMAND PROMPT
When the screen shows C:/ type in chkdsk /f /r
Then restart the computer
If the windows still won't start take the unit back for exchange or have the BOOTMGR installed

How do I fing toshiba A60 equium password

Hi,
pull the battery out and leave it out for a few minutes and then put it back in - if you can reach the bios then reset optimum settings - if there is a windows password then reformatting will get rid of that one.

Laptop won't restart after shutting down? Have to turn it off and on many times to get it back on.

Sounds like your boot program is corrupt or the hard drive is failing. I would recommend reformatting it and if it continues then your hard drive even possibly the processor chip is bad.
