My Mitsubishi endeavor will not accelerate. I put a new throttle body on it, but it didnt fix my problem. I took it to a mechanic &he said it would be 80$an hour to look at it. We dont have the money right now. We paid 120 for the throttle body. The truck is a 2004. Before we purchased it, the truck was in an accident and rebuilt. The mechanic we took it to said it could be a wireing problem, because it was poorly put together??

The front three should be easy enough. They are right in front of the intake plenum. (big black plastic looking thing on top of the engine. The back three are underneath the intake plenum. It seems like a lot to tackle but it is really not that bad.
As always, if you are not sure you have the skills to attempt this go to a qualified mechanic. I did mine in an afternoon.

SOURCE: CHANGE HEAD LIGHT

you change the bulb from inside the engine compartment . raise the hood and feel for a plastic retaining ring in the back of the headlite. Loosen 1/4 turn and bulb socket and old bulb will pull out from the headlite assembly Unplug the old bulb and replace with new one . assemble in reverse order.

Yes, I would replace it according to the owner's manual. Could be very expensive if it breaks.

SOURCE: wer is bank 1 sensor 2 in a mitsubishi endeavor

Hi,
Bank 1 sensor 2 is on the firewall side of the engine, and is the bottom O2 sensor (the one furthest from the engine). It is accessed from below the vehicle.

2004 mitsubishi endeavor xls. Cranks but you have to press gas pedal for car to start, then it will not idle car will dies out

If the vehicle will stay running with the gas pedal slightly pressed, its most likely a problem with getting the correct volume of air into the engine at idle.

Mitsubishi parts look up doesn't show an idle air control valve. It looks like the throttle body is electronically controlled (no throttle cable or idle air control valve)

I would try cleaning the throttle body.

Mitsubishi endeavor idle air control valve

The idle air control is attached to the throttle body, located between the air cleaner and the intake manifold, and held on with 2 or 3 small screws. You should clean this, and the throttle body with carb cleaner while it is apart and try to resurrect.

Hesitation on acceleration

Most common problem is a failed mass airflow sensor. Remove sensor and carefully inspect the sensor for debris building up on the diode. Another possibility is the egr valve may be partially stuck open. The upper intake manifold is made of plastic. The egr gases enter the intake just behind the throttle body inside the plastic intake. It is pretty common for the hot exhaust gases to burn through the plastic and possibly cause coolant to enter combustion chambers. A restricted catalytic convertor from previous engine misfires will accelerate this due to exhaust gases having no place to escape.

Cannot control engine rpm mitsubishi lancer engine 1984. fuel injection sometime correct rpm, sometime too low and too high rpm

Your IACV idle air control valve has gone bad . When you put the car in gear does it take off and accelerate to about 50 MPH without touching the gas pedal ? Had the same problem. Part from Mitsubishi is about $435 PN # MR578268. It is about $30 to $50 dollars on any other car. If this is the problem, the IACV is located on the throttle body and is held on with three screws. I purchased the whole throttle body at a salvage yard for $40, took the IACV off and put it on my throttle body. Car works normal for now, I am looking for another spare. If enough people complain to MItsubishi and www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov

2005 Mitsu Endeavor p0506 Idle Air control.

Idle air control is not a sensor on the air horn. Why do people who have no clue bother answering? The idle speed is controled by the throttle body which allows a specific amount of air to flow into the engine thus controlling your idle speed. In this application it is an integral aspect of your throttle body. Check your throttle body for contamination. Check your wire harness connecters.
