Question about Computers & Internet
tab, you have to select the GPS icon and set the program port to "Com
7",also set GPS Hardware port to
"Com 7", and baud rate to
57600, and then "Manage GPS
After u set up the pairing, and if it doesn't give u the option to create a New Outgoing Port, just a New Incoming Port.
Then After you pair using the passkey "2003" there should a list of available services. Make sure you check the "use serial port" service.
And if still get any error just follow this steps
1. Delete the pairing in BT manager, if it exists.
2. turn on the gps receiver, then start the nav. software.
3. Let the program auto-detect. When the notification message appears, DO NOT select "yes" or "no"
4, Exit the nav. software. It will take about 20-30 secs. to exit.
5 Click the notification icon, then select "yes" to the pairing. When this is done, you can check the BT manager, and see that there is no partnership.
This seems to be the key.
6. Start up the nav. software, and it will connect automatically. Exit and start the nav. software, and it will always work.
The only problem, which I feel is minor, is when the BT communication is lost, cause then you need to start from step 2 again. Just remember to exit the software first, before turning off the gps receiver.
With this setup, you must ALWAYS turn on the gps first, then start the software. If you don't, then you start from step 2 again.
