Icicles in freezer compartment

you can do the dollar check to see if indeed the gasket is the problem, thats what it sounds like. close dollar in door and pull out slowly, you should feel some resistance.also at the top corner of door you will find 3 screws at the hinge, loosen the screws a couple of turns and you will be able to adjust the fit of the door ,move it alittle to make sure it is square with the fridge, this may help then re-tighten screws.

Ice maker is overflowing and causing icicles in Kitchenaid KSRS25IHSS02 side by side refrigerator. Trying to find location of water flow adjustment set screw.

Hello,

The adjustment screw is under the cover on the front of the icemaker...it is only a very small adjustment and by adjusting it very likely it will have no bearing on stopping the icicles from forming on the i/m but instead what the problem is,is the water inlet valve is not fully closing. This tip i wrote covers the problem with the water valve and why its causing icicles in the freezer.

Icicle are forming around icemaker port inside of

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.

It's my mother's Side by side Kenmore (4 yrs old). Iciles appear to form UNDER the icemaker unit. Filter has been changed and temp adjusted. What could be the problem?

it is possible that the tray itself has a crack in it. The icicles tend to make me beleive that you have a cracked tray because ice accumulates in the form of a cicle by consistantly dripping, running downward and over time the freezing occures . You might take food coloring and mix with water. Pour this mixture into yhe icemaker tray with the unit off and let it sit. If the tray is leaking the food coloring will let you know, if no leaks then it has too much water being allowed into the unit or too much water pressure. Good Luck

Icemaker leaking causing icicles

Is it overfilling with water? If so, it may be an problem with the fill valve leaking slightly. I say slightly because if it were a large leak, the freezer would have frozen puddles in it. Also check the water chute to be sure the water is all going into the freeze tray. Sometimes they can work loose.

If the seam is leaking, there could be a crack in the housing - not sure that's repairable - sometimes epoxy will work (5 minute, 2 part) but it can be difficult for glue to hold on the type of plastic used in an ise maker housing.
