Question about GE WBSR3140DW Top Load Washer
Durring the wash cycle, I can reach in and stop the agitator from doing anything.
I take it the motor was still running and you could stop the agitator. Pull the agitator off by pulling it straight up. Sometimes you need to slip a belt or similar object under it and attach the other end to a handle to allow you to pull with more force. Now, take the one bolt off and remove the plastic upside down can shaped agitator drive. If it cannot be pulled off, you will have to break it (use a hammer and chisel). Now, if you can turn the splined metal shaft with your finger, you have a bad transmission, but more likely you will not be able to turn it with your fingers, which means all you have to do is replace the agitator drive WH49X10042.
