Question about Sony Bud Style Headphones
The earphones supplied with NWZ-A728 and NWZ-A818 have both developed the same problem. the left earphone crackles and cuts out when the cable next to the connector the player is moved or touched. If the audio is acting up in the left ear, gentley moving the cable coming out of the connector works, until you let go, and the cord falls back to its neutral postition.
The headphones work fine until after 2-3 months use where this problem arises. I don't treat them poorly by wrapping the cable around the player, or anything else like that.
Any help will be greatly recieved.

Follow the left channel lead to where it joins with the PCB. Use a pointed tool and prod connections if you get a buzz then that stage in the amp is working. I suspect you will find it leads to a IC that might cause the fault. If you find it buzzers on the right but not left, then it's gone. PS don't short pins. If you can get hold of a signal injector it will make things easy.
Be careful and good luck.
