GuruAll you need to do is a manual code search on the dish remote. If it does not respond with the manual code search,the remote your trying to use cannot be used for this TV set,or you will need to upgrade to a differant Dish remote as the code is not programmed into the remote. What happens when you do a manual code search is one by one the remote sends out every single code that is programmed into the remote. Good Luck
