Arc s xperia can not end the call

There is a small pointer in the front side of your phone (looks like front camera, but its actually not :-( ). This is actually proximity sensor. While you are on call and talking without headphone, it senses the distance between phone and your ear, and quickly disables the screen light with a black screen. It saves battery and also avoids unnecessary touch of your skin while on call. Please make sure theres nothing (phone cover) is blocking that sensor point.
If anything permanently blocking the censor it will never allow you to operate the phone while on call.

Good luck.

Lg bl40 screen works mostly fine. but when receiving calls, answer and reject button do not respond on touch. so, calls remain unanswered. pls help! Nikos, Greece

I had the same problem. The reason was that I had bought a cover for the phone and the cover would make the proximity sensor turn on and so the screen would be locked. If you've bought a cover for it, this may help.

I have a Motorola Razr V3. Very recently the exterior and main screen went black. The phone itself still works (I can still call people and receive calls) but I can not see anything on the screens. Do you...

Hello,

The reason your phone interior and exterior screen went black is because there is a problem with the flex of the phone.

The flex is the mechanism like a ribbon that connects the screen to the panel of the phone.

All you have to do is to replace the flex of the phone.

To replace it on your own, the process to do this are as following;
  1. Get the appropriate screwdriver (Torx 5 screwdriver).
  2. Remove the four rubber stoppers surrounding the screen to reveal four screws. Remove these screws.
  3. You can now remove the front cover. To do this, use a credit card to lever the cover up. The cover clips on and the levering motion will unclip it. Start at the top, then unclip the cover at the bottom, then both sides.
  4. Now detach the camera from the phone. Simply pull the ribbon away from the phone to release it.
  5. Now unplug the other ribbon. The ribbon attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it up to unplug it.
  6. The ribbon you just unplugged is the flex of the phone, so you have to unscrew the lower part of the phone to remove it completely.
  7. To open the lower part, you have to open the back cover and remove the battery,
  8. Unscrew the screws you see, than split it open with a credit card or the tip of your finger, apply a little force to open it.
  9. Then unscrew the board, you will see where the other end of the ribbon is connected on the board, then you can remove it and fix a new one.
  10. Reverse the process to reassemble the phone together.
Take care

Droped my voyager and now the screens are blank

Hello,

The problem could be that the screws that attached the screen of your phone to it panel might be loose.

All you need do is to power off the phone, remove the battery cover, battery and sim card. turn the phone over and, gently remove the front cover or casing, it just pulls off.

Get a torx6 screw driver to tighten all the screws on the screen of your phone very well and couple back.

Put the sim card and your battery and power on, if the screen did not still come on, it means the flex on the screen of your phone is bad and will need to be replaced.

Replace the flex of your phone screen if tightening the screws of the screen did not solve the problem. change the flex of the screen of your phone and you will see that your phone will display.

Take care.

Virus in my my N72 Nokia Mobile

The only option here is to do a master clear on your device. With this phone the instructions to do this can be found in the manual located HERE. Keep in mind this will delete everything you have installed or entered and reset the device back to the way it was when you first opened the package. This includes programs, addresses, contacts, call log, etc.

Buttons don't work

This is a common problem, it has to do with the keypad flex. either the connector on the top part of your phone is unpluged or your flex is damaged. Open the top of the phone where the screen is at (4 torx screws) genlty remove the cover. you will see two connectors, one that goes to the camera, the other is the one you want. genlty pry it off upwards, I would also clean it with some IPA (rubbing alcohol) and a brush, re-connect it pushing down firmly, you will fill it when it connects. if it doesnt work, you can purchase a new flex, if you need repair help, let me know I can try to repair

Problem when I open the phone, please help!

Okay I work for Sprint as a advanced technical support. Your screen is busted I can tell that when you said it was orange. The LCD is non existent and the colors have mixed. I hope for your sake that you have insurance because it is time to get a new phone. and yes when it is closed the sub screen works fine because it is two separate screens and your main screen is the one busted. It is hard to say if you will be able to get your contacts back because in most cases I have seen that information is lost. So it is time to take it to a Sprint Nextel and Repair center. Hope that helps :)

You may have improperly closed the phone when you changed the cover............and messed up the flex cable that connect the display to the main board.
