Try "ALT" (if it works, print it, cut it to size and tape it on the right side of you keyboard so you don't have to look it up again)

I have a swintec 2640 and it is typing the wrong letters. If I type the letter a is a v, s is a j, d is a b. How do i fix this?

you have to check if you have a Spanish or englisch typewheel.
and what youre keyboard is one of them, they have to be exactly the same... you can check youre key if it has an N with a flag on it ,they call it enje in Spanish Montana on the n you get a flag sign
that is Spanish.

IBM Wheelwriter 3 - Cannot get the complete word - Middle part of word is white

Type on a two part form if the carbons are goog then you have a ribbon problem. Look at the ribbon. Do the letters overlap (ribbon feed) If they don't fall in a line near the center of the ribbon (ribbon lift) Check for folds in the ribbon.

Can I set the correction to remove just one letter rather than the entire word?

W out is word out. There is another key with just corr. or an arrow with an x.

My Swintec 7040 when I type a letter or word only write a half of the letter or the word and when I try to erase a letter or word the typewriter erase this but the erase ribbon stay in the same position...

There are a few possibilities. If only the tops are printing Press down on the platen to be sure it is fully seated in the side frame. The T/W may be in the overstrike ribbon mode Code period, comma or slash will get you out of that mode.

Changed correction ribbon now letters are typing wrong. Hit T get a W?? Looks like it could be in spanish?

If you improperly install the tape or have the wrong tape (it must be DRY). Remove the L/O and see if it works.

We have a Brother GX-9500 typewriter/word processor and after changing the ribbon, letters do not appear on the page. We reinstalled both correction tape and ribbon and though the daisy wheel moves and it...

I called a local dealer for instructions. Apparently I accidentally released the daisy wheel when installing the new correction ribbon. Thank you.
