Question about Hoover HTC243 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Hoover 700LB top loading washing machine

Would anyone have a diagram of the control panel for the above washing machine. The control panel came apart when we were moving to a new address and there are four wires that came out and need to be re-attached and I do not know what order they need to be in. The wires are coloured blue brown yellow & light blue. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks heaps Sue

Hoover dyn8164d washing machine, when the last load washed I went to remove the clothes and there was a 'buzzing' coming from the top right area of the machine, I turned it off as usual, and t

Possible that the main power has failed , the power supply of the unit had packed up or there is a serious fault in the controller unit. You need to open the control panel unit to trace this case specially using a multimeter, check for the AC power to the unit and check for the DC to the circuit. If not the panel is a suspect.

Hoover 705 , overfills and fllods laundry can it be fixed

On my hoover 200m (top loader) I had a similar problem. I turned off the machine & unplugged it. Closed water taps both hot & cold. Manually emptied machine with large cup. Undid bottom outlet hose by unclipping. The residual water will come out! I undid the 3 screws on the control panel. Tilted the control panel forward. The water level is manual control using a diagaphram pressure control to set water level. This had a hose. I disconnected both ends and used a bicycle pump to blow air thorough it. Underneath I disconnected where the hose goes into machine (clips) and also blew air from the top to check it was clear. After reconnecting everything the machine now does not stop filling and does not overflow anymore. Hope this helps.

Hello, my Hoover 700LB toploader won,t spin or agitate, the pump is working, but the motor is not working at all,

Hi just read your posting. Now the problem could be your motor or motor module.Have you got or can borrow an electrical test meter to test the motor and wiring? Please reply back and and I can guide you the finding of the fault and the repair. Also I will look at my manual to see if you can test for the fault without a test meter.Looking forward to your reply.

Hoover 700LB - fills as per normal and washes but cycle knob does not move, click or progress towards the next cycle therefore washes forever...timer perhaps and if so is it worth fixing?

Hi just read your posting.Does the timer move at all from the original position that you started it from?If it does not move at all then you need a new or reconditioned timer. If it does move but stops at a specific spot,What position does it stop at?Are you in Australia? If so I can give you the contacts on where to purchase a timer. Please reply and I can guide you on how to get the correct timer number for your machine.Looking forward to your reply.

Hoover 700LB Stops at the wash during the wash cycle keeps clicking then starts again at the spin cycle

It sounds like the timer is bad. Try another cycle like delicate, or normal, or heavy duty. If everything works on another cycle then it is probably your timer. If it doesn't work and you have the same problem, then it is probably an expensive fix. Best of luck

Does anyone have the schematic for LCD control

I don’t believe you will find a schematic for the control board. I have a FAV6800AW all I have be able to find is the wiring schematic found in the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW Service Manual.
Is your machine out of the 5yr warranty period for the Control Board? I got Maytag to send me one.
Saw this on e-bay
NEW - Maytag Washer LCD Control # 25001189
Good luck … Rich
