No display with DVD, VCR, or tuner

TV was working fine, then I accidentally hit the r-tune button on the remote. Now, no display w/tuner, DVD, or VCR. Display works fine in setup modes, and if I play a VCR (getting sound only) and go into video menu adjust, I get the picture while the settings are displayed. It's as if the TV went to an illegal channel and I can't clear it out of memory. Reset all unit memory functions does not help; it then comes up in CH AUTO SET PROCESSING (blue background), but when finished, screen then goes off (gray). I also am able to get blue screen back if I hold down the channel button (it then comes on showing the channels changing), but it then disappears once I get off the channel button. I think I need some kind of massive reset or maintenance mode access. Any suggestions?

It sounds to me without knowing the model or type unit that you may need to unplug tv AND take batteries out of remote for a few seconds, replug and start over. Hope it helps

No sound on the tv

As TV and DVD playing reproduces sound, you have to check TVs tuner function first. Connect the TV to external areal by connecting areal via areal socket. Make an auto-tune function. Refer the user manual about how to make an auto-tune to local on-air program. Make sure that, the TV reproduces picture and sound normally. If it is correct, your TV is perfect in all respect. If not, the tuner to your TV should be replaced with same type and number.

I just need to know how to link up my Allegro DVD/VCR REMOTE CONTROL to my Phllips Magnavox Television.

TUNING This DVD+VCR is equipped with a frequency synthe- sized tuner capable of receiving up to 181 channels. These include VHF channels 2-13, UHF channels 14-69 and CATV channels 1-125. Auto Channel Programming 1. Choose the SOURCE SELECT option, then use b / B to select TUNER. Use b / B to switch among TUNER, LINE1, and LINE2. 2. Choose the AUTO CHANNEL SET option, then use b / B to find channels. • The tuner will automatically cycle through all available channels (TV/CATV) in the area and place them in the tuner's memory. •After the AUTO CHANNEL SET is complete, the TUNING menu will hide and return to the TV screen automatically. 3. Make sure the TUNING BAND is set appropriately (TV or CATV). • TV : If you are using a standard antenna to receive channels. •CATV : If you are using basic cable to receive channels.

Can't see "Setup" screen, or any other screens on t.v. monitor

There should be a tv vcr button on the remote control. What you done was you accidently shut off the VCR function. If you hit that button again the tv vcr button it will come back on.

Your TV has problem in Tuner section hardware and its not so costly repair. Watching cable trough VCR is alternative solution, which you already have.

Need instruction to program the remote RCA 450

took me awhile but I figured it out

ok

Put your TV/DVD/VCR on
hold in what you want to program TV/DVD/VCR BUTTON
(you dont need codes or anything)
then while holding in what you want to program (TV, DVD, VCR) hold in ON/OFF
both at the same time

when the light comes on and stays on
keep hitting ON/OFF BUTTON
do it slow, when the TV turns off hit the STOP button at the bottom
then hit the button you just programed
then hit the ON/OFF button, the TV/DVD/VCR will turn on

if it doesnt work, repeat. make sure you hit the stop button when the TV/DVD/VCR shuts off, if you hit it an extra time while the TV/DVD/VCR is off it wont work.

took me about 30 mins to figure it out.

I lost my codes too, but I wanted to help all you other people too.. now since I helped you.. check my band out... www.myspace.com/jumpercablenj

DVD/VCR combo player won't work

I had a similar problem and corrected it with a solution found on another site. Try hitting the I/P button on the remote which controls whether "Interlaced" or "Progressive Scan" is used to display the image on the TV. Mine worked when "Interlaced" was used. but no picture was displayed when "Progressive Scan" was used. The I/P button toggles between the two settings.
