You would have to buy a new printwheel and change the pitch setting (which is a switch on the left side of the keyboard tha has 10, 12, 15, PS printed next to it) or just changing the pitch setting may get you the desired results. it won't hurt anything to change the settings, it just changes the spacing. The PS setting only works on a PS printwheel, any other kind will just print the wrong letters.

How can I set ALPHA on Swintec 8016

If you are saying it prints the wrong letters check the pitch slide switch on the L. side it should be in 10 or 12 not PS. If this isn't the problem I'll need a better explanation.

I have just started using an old swintec 8016 select series typewriter and do not know how to release and set margins

I believe you go to the margin you want to change, touch don't hold the mar. rel. key (top L. of keyboard) then space or backspace to the desired location, press L. of R. margin key on the L. side of the keyboard.

Font size won't change

The font is determined by the printwheel. The pitch (spacing) is determined by the slide switch on the left of the keyboard 10, 12, or 15 spaces to the inch.
