Try a different cable between your computer and your networking devices.
Or, Turn the DSL modem off.
If you have a router between your DSL router and your computer, turn it off.
Turn your computer off.
Turn the DSL modem on; wait for the lamps to "settle-down" to a pattern.
Turn the router on; wait for its lamps to "settle-down" to a predictable pattern.
Turn your computer on; wait for it to complete booting.
Type 'cmd' and press ENTER.
Enter 'ipconfig /all' and tell us what IP-address(es) you see.
Toshiba made it hard to get to this battery. You will have to remove the entire motherboard and it is in the bottom corner, soldered to the board. I just went through this for a friends computer, it was not fun.

Hi, my name is Lynn.. I hope my suggestions will solve your issue. You did the correct thing as far as downloading the drivers from the computer manufacturer website. But now you need to find out the specified hardware manufacturer as well and go to their site for most recent harware updates and/or os fixes. Also, I would like to know more info about your Operating System (ie: Windows XP, etc.) to be able to rule out or solve any other posibilities. Thank You.. Lynn :)
