The same model ThinkPad can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows WEBcam and device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

The IBM Recovery Disk that comes with those laptops is set up for Windows 2000, not Windows XP Pro. The answer is No, you cannot use the IBM Recovery Disk for them, if you install Windows XP Pro.
However! You will have a recovery disk, because you will have the Full Installation disk for Each laptop. Windows XP Pro Full Installation Disk.
(Microsoft Users License states "One genuine copy of Windows per One computer" That means you need Two, genuine copies of Microsoft Windows XP Pro)
You may have installed the wrong driver version. Some Thinkpads may have different manufacturers of the same type of devices installed in the laptops, therefore you need to install them one at a time until you find one that works.
Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :-
