Question about Kenwood ProTalk XLS TK-3131 (15 Channels) 2-Way Radio
I bought two new protalk TK 3130 two way radios to replace two with broken antennas, but I can't access the frequency on the old radios to make the new and old talk to each other.
The old radios might hard coded programmed. You need a computer cable KG22 and the software KPG75D. I converted my 3130 to the 3131 which was previously programmed to a retail store. Now I'm back to FRS/GMRS instead of the business freqs.

Look at the user manuals for both radios and compare the frequency assignment for each channel. find the ones that match and program the radios to talk to each other.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
