Depends on whats gone wrong and what version of windows you have. Many options but if you want to start from scratch insert the recovery cd and boot from that at start up. Sometimes you can access recovery options at boot time by pressing F8 or r repeatedly during start up. the rest should guide you through.
If its totally dead and you need to get data of beore reinstalling, then download pppylinux and burn it onto a cd then boot from the cd, this should then run as a totally new operating system that allows access to all your data, you can even save it of onto cds or external usb drives.
You will have to open up the PDA case and take out internal battery (round one). It might just need to be replace or resitted. Next time, backup your data to a memory card.
