I'm a new employee using an old Nortel networks 7310 phone. I don't know if it is a M7310 or T7310. I have a small document that describes some of the programmable features, but I can't figure out how to...

To program a intercom key for your boss. press feature *2, press the button you want to be your bosses button(one of the ones on the lower end of the phone where the LCD screen is), then enter in his intercom number.

Assign a new person to an extension

Changing the programming2.gif on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming
press the left hand intercom button
the display should say central telephone prog extension:
enter in the extension number of the persons phone you wish to rename
the display should say program extension xx
press the left hand intercom button
the display should say the extension number followed by the existing programmed name
enter in name of new person by pressing the number where the letter is then its order on the button so under the 2 button 1 would be A, 2 would be B, and 3 would be C ex. BILL = 22 - 43 - 53 - 53 use the mic/hfai button to erase entry.

either press the right hand intercom to go to the next extension or press feature 00 to exit

Trying to switch the extension number.

On the newer norstar systems the T7208 and lower phones can not be used for programming. The T7316e phone has to be used for programming therefore feature 983 will only work on the T7316e set.To change local dn's you have to go into config programming and to change dn old dn then new dn.

Programming extensions

By default a TDA user has access to the first 9 programs in the Basic Programming (000-009). It lets you set things like date and time, speed calls, extension name, number and PIN code, and operator extensions.

Access to the programming is from an allowed phone by PROG **1234. You may have to consult your installer/dealer to find out which phone does that, but generally it's the operator.
